I knew I was going to be traveling this week so, I wanted a quick and easy crochet project. I decided to work on a dishcloth pattern. I wanted a pattern that had a nice look to it and that would be simple and repetitive. I knew it was going to be hot in Arizona and like to work with cotton yarn when it’s hot outside.
I just love the textured look that the double V stitch gives. You can easily adjust this dishcloth pattern to make a blanket. You will just want to be sure your starting chain is done in an even number.
If you don’t know how to Double V Stitch, I have a video tutorial.

I really love the look of this stitch and how simple it is to memorize! I am using this pattern to make a bag by making several squares, then sewing them together.

I love the v stitch, it’s a simple pattern and it’s good for lots of things. And it looks good with any yarn weight. I also absolutely adore the yarn you used in the pictures on this post!
