Free Crochet Pattern Ice Cream Pint Cozy

Hook Size:

H/5mm (or size needed to meet gauge)

Yarn:

41 yards (38 m) of cotton worsted (4) weight

Yarn I used: I Love This Cotton

Gauge:

After Round 4, your work should measure 3 inches in diameter.

Measuring Tape

Tapestry Needle

Scissors

Stitch Markers

Abbreviations:

CH – Chain

HHDC – Herringbone Half Double Crochet

MR – Magic Ring

SC – Single Crochet

SLST – Slip Stitch

ST(S) – Stitch(es)

Notes

This pattern uses American Standard Terms.
The chains at the beginning of each row do not count as a stitch.
The ice cream cozy in this pattern fits a pint size ice cream container.

Special Stitch:

Herringbone Half Double Crochet (HHDC): Yarn over, insert your hook into the next stitch, yarn over, pull up a loop, pull that loop through the next loop on your hook (kind of like a slip stitch). This will leave you with two loops on your hook. Yarn over, and pull through both loops.
