ALC Hand Dyed Yarns

If you follow me on Facebook, you already know that I am crazy about dyeing yarn. I have been researching and dreaming about hand dyeing my own yarn for a few years now. Back in December, I made the decision to just jump in!

I get bored pretty quickly so I started playing around and trying different techniques and this is where I came up with my Fingerpaint yarns.

My Fingerpaint yarns are so much fun and always turn out so unique.

Oh boy, I have had so much fun. I love playing around and coming up with different colorways. I use different techniques to dye the yarn but my favorite is to Fingerpaint them.

I love watching all the colors come to life.

I reached the point where I was dyeing so much yarn that I would never be able to use it all so I started listing it in my Etsy Shop.

One of my favorite things about hand dyeing yarn is seeing what people make with them. I really enjoy seeing what patterns they decide to use and how the yarn works up. There are just so many talented crocheters and designers out there. It makes you want to try all of the patterns!

People really enjoy watching me dye yarn live on my Facebook page so I thought it would be fun to offer a way for people to order custom hand dyed yarn and get to watch me dye their yarn order.  So I started what I call Dye My Way

You get to choose the yarn weight, colors and the technique I use to dye your yarn and then watch me dye it live on my Facebook page.

It is so much fun and I love seeing the different colors people choose. It gets me out of my comfort zone and makes me try new color combinations and new colorways.

All of this has lead me to the ALC Yarn Club.

The ALC Yarn Club is a monthly yarn subscription box. You will receive a unique hand dyed yarn each month along with an exclusive digital crochet pattern and an extra goody!

Plus you will have access to the ALC Yarn Club Facebook Group exclusive to members of the yarn club.

The ALC Yarn Club is not just another yarn subscription box! It comes with a community of yarn lovers where you can share photos of your makes with your new yarn, meet other subscribers, talk about upcoming colorways and join in exclusive giveaways.

I will be active in this group and you can ask me questions about any of my patterns, the Yarn Club and even help come up with color ideas for the upcoming months yarn boxes.

I have so many ideas for the ALC Yarn Club and I can’t wait to see where it will take all of us. I am really excited about the private Facebook group where we can come up with even more ideas and hopefully have a fun crochet along feel to it each month.

The fun colorways that I have come up with have inspired me to design new patterns.

One of those patterns is the Pebbles Beanie. This will be the pattern for the ALC Yarn Club’s May box along with a Fingerpaint yarn. New patterns will be released to Yarn Club members first and in a month or so after they have received it, I will add it to my Etsy and Ravelry. I have pictures of the Pebbles Beanie below. These beanies were all made with my Fingerpaint yarns that will be exclusive to my ALC Yarn Club members and my Dye My Way customers.

I just got my first yarn club box. I am
So excited. The tweed yarns are so beautiful. I was thrilled to get a burnt orange perfect for the pumpkin pattern for this month. I got to watch Nicky dye yarn live and it was so cool to see the process. So glad I did this for me. What a beautiful gift for me. Highly recommend doing this for yourself, or someone you love.
